Well, hints are against the rules.

But level 7 is a bit like level 5 (at least it was for me). I tried too hard.

That and remember the indications from the intro.

Hi All - just wondering if a hint would be allowed for level six? -I have tried two differerent encryption algorithms with a variety of options. My computer has been running for two weeks - and I am no closer! The frustration of it all -arghh ;)

Any hints would be greatly appreciated...

For level 6, patience is required, there is no trick.

It's worth it though, levels 7-10 are a lot more fun than 6 and below.

Level 6 is really the dullest of the lot.

The HackMe challenge: I started it and got to level 3 or 4... but then I had some troubles with the challenge in the Opera browser. I don't feel like doing it in MSIE.

Also, translating from Italian to English (or French) to be able to understand the texts gets to be very annoying.

I'll wait for "Code Break v2.0"

Yes, I know it is ( Share-level password vulnerability ) but I can't find any usefull information to help me crack the password .... everything I've found I already knew ... if I send 1-byte length password ( for ex. letter : e ) and if it is the same as the first letter of the password Windows will let me through ... and when I do that I get the message : SMB_AUTH_GRANTED but I don't get to the next level ... and btw I've tried all numeric and character symbols ... I don't know what to do more ????

but windows wasn't SOOOO stupid, you need the entire password to log in, not just one char

Well, I passed the third level. I accepted that there's a chance of non-english words and I solved it. The unknown (for me at least) three-letter words were 'deb' and 'flt'.

Level 6 is just too time consuming..
Am I right that it's a SHA-1 hash?
Am I right in assuming that the answer will be a random 8 letter word/letter combo?

Also, is there any way to get hack-me in English
