Pc in pessimo stato...hardware o software?

Ciao, come da oggetto il mio portatile ha da tempo qualche serio problema, ma non riesco a capire da cosa è originato, se dall'hardware (come credo) o dal software. Ho paura di perdere tutti i dati, quindi mi rivolgo a voi.
Ecco qualche informazione:

1) ad ogni avvio appare la schermata di avviso di "imminent failure" con consiglio a procedere al back up. E' un Asus, e a un mio amico capita uguale da mesi senza che poi sia successo niente. E' solo un caso?
2) parte sempre il controllo di coerenza, ma se lo eseguo si ripresenta. Quindi non lo eseguo mai anche perchè impiega 24 ore e non posso permettermi ogni volta di avere il pc bloccato per tutto quel tempo
3) impiega 20 minuti per caricare tutto ed essere utilizzabile
4) da qualche giorno ha preso a riavviarsi appena prima di caricare il desktop. Togliendo la spunta all'opzione per il riavvio, oggi mi è comparsa la schermata blu, con scritto:

Stop: C0000218 {ERRORE NEL FILE DEL REGISTRO DI SISTEMA}
Il registro di sistema non ha potuto caricare il file hive:
\system root\system32\config\software
oppure il registro o la sua copia è danneggiato, mancante o non può essere scritto.
Inizio creazione della memoria immagine su disco.
Scaricamento della memoria fisica completato.
Contattare l'amministratore o il gruppo di assistenza per ulte

(proprio così, troncato...)

5) una volta partito, il pc è lento ma tutto sommato funziona
6) se può interessare, la ventola è sempre "troppo" in funzione
7) l'ho ripulito da virus, spyware e quant'altro
8) HDD health non mi segnala problemi, comunque vi posto di seguito il log. Grazie comunque, non so davvero che pesci pigliare...

se il pc contiene dati importanti,il backup è indispensabile sempre e comunque, ma quando compare un avviso di boot fallito è altamente consigliabile procedere al backup, non tanto per il tipo di problema che spesso è rimediabile con il ripristino, ma per evitare che proprio durante i tentativi di rimediare al guaio,il PC vada in crash totale(succede spesso).
Se il boot fallisce per il file regitro corrotto,credo sia il tuo caso, dovrebbe essere sufficente ripristinarlo da consolle(cd windows).
Un hardisk è come una bella donna,
prima o poi ti molla.
Per non vivere di soli ricordi,
salva i dati su dvd.....

Grazie della risposta. Se ben ricordo il mio cd di Windows non prevede la consolle...altre idee?
Quindi tu escluderesti che si tratta di un problema hardware?

Bisognerebbe magari fare un test all'HD.
Fatti tutti i back-up e formatta...
Se le noie non si ripresentano,bene.
Se si ripresentano è ovvio che bisognerà cominciare a sospettare dell'hardware.

Il test di HDD non va bene? Che altro programma potrei usare?

Sui back up e sul formattare, la vedo un po' dura: come faccio a copiare 50gb di dati? Compro un drive? Faccio 13 dvd? E se formatto dovrei comunque poi reinstallare tutto, programmi, driver...mi viene male solo a pensarci...

Ci sono le utilities apposite sui siti dei produttori,di norma.
Beh,ma scusa,prenditi un HD esterno...i back-up di sicurezza falli comunque.
Se il problema è nell'HD comincia a prepararti.Potrebbe abbandonarti in qualunque momento...
