hardware monitor error

Ciao,
spesso, anzi sempre se faccio girare Spybot, oppure ieri anche mentre giocavo a The Sims2, il PC si spegne, si riavvia e mi segnala Hardware Monitor Error in fase di avvio.
Sono entrato nel bios ma non ho capito se posso fare da lì qualcosa...

avete qualche suggerimento?

hai controllato il cavo del monitor che sia insrito correttamente e bloccato??
Se il messaggio di errore è all'avvio(bios),
probabilmente è un problema hardware,
prova a controllare la ventola della scheda video e
dai una pulita al dissipatore.
Prova anche ad aggiornare i driver video se ancora non lo hai fatto.
In un topic sono stati riscontrati problemi con i codec,
se hai soft alternativo(non del produttore) di codec video,prova a disinstallarlo.

la situazione peggiora: ora più frequentemente il pc si blocca o si riavvia da solo: compare sempre l'errore hardware monitor error.
Entrando nel bios le temperature del monitor sembrano a posto anche se quella più in basso (volt??) per qualche secondo si colora di rosso poi torna normale.

Per hardware monitor error non si intende un errore del Monitor inteso come schermo, ma un errore hardware generale che nel tuo caso potrebbe essere di alimentazione o di overclock che voltaggi diventano rossi?

Allora, quando entro con il set up nella parte dedicata al monitor vedo:

CPU TEMPERATURE 50C°/122F
CPU FAN SPEED 3290 RPM
SYSTEM FAN SPEED N/A

VCORE VOLTAGE 1,74V
+3,3 V VOLTAGE 3,28V
+5V VOLTAGE 5V
+12V VOLTAGE 11,58V
dopo lo spegnimento diventa, per pochi istanti, rosso questo ultimo valore (+12v voltage ....)

Le tensioni sono un po' sotto, e la temperatura della CPU, se il computer e' stato appena acceso, e' un po' altina.
Dai una bella pulita dalla polvere (se c'e') e prova un altro alimentatore. Pero' con la sheda video che ti ritrovi non puoi pensare di giocare. Il monitor ha un refresh troppo basso (60Hz) portalo almeno a 75Hz se possibile 85Hz altrimenti i tuoi occhi grideranno vendetta

Ho aperto il pc e pulito la ventola dell'alimentatore e quella del processore (almeno credo fossero quelle...).
Mi puoi spiegare quali sarebbero (magari allegando una foto...)?
La ventola dell'alimentatore non mi sembra però giri mentre il pc va (è quella che si vede anche a case chiuso nella parte posteriore vero?)

Il refresh del monitor l'ho cambiato con dx diag, dovevo fare così?

con un Pentium 4 primo tipo sicuramente il radiatore della CPU e' cosi'

La ventola dell'alimentatore e' quella che vedi da fuori, se non gira, quello e' il problema (l' alimentatore si surriscalda e le tensioni si sballano) ti consiglio di cambiarlo al piu' presto (per il tuo PC ne basta uno da 350 Watt anche economico)

Dimenticavo per cambiare la frequenza di refresh (aggiornamento) del monitor :
clicca Dx su una parte libera del desktop -> Proprieta' -> Impostazioni ->Avanzate -> Monitor e cambia la frequenza di aggiornamento
