Codebreak - english

Postdi Hyper4S » 04/08/04 17:26

Hi,

what about an english thread about the Codebreaking game, for all those "cryptanalysts" out there that don't speak Italian? (like me ;) )

I have no idea how many "foreigners" are joining in the game, but I guess I'm not the only one :-)

Grtz,

Kristof

Btw, I'm not an native English speaker either, so my English too is far from perfect... As long as we understand each other, no problem, hein ;-)

how you have known pc-facile?

Well... I don't know him :-) I saw a link to this game at sci.crypt, and decided to give it a go 8)

Yeah, level 3 is a lot of work (at least I put a lot of work in it)...

I'm currently stuck at level 5 now :-)

Could someone confirm that the "hidden text" there is also composed of purely random english words? I know that it probably is, but you never know...

And knowing that the text inside is NOT random, but actually meaningfull, would of course be a great help :-)

Thx,

Kristof

Ehm... sorry, it isn't possible! You can use those 100 points for the point-collection of your gas-station of trust!
But about this game the webmaster is very strict... :D
I think he's been an english teacher in a past life! :P

Oh, great... I always wanted that towel of 100 points! 8)

But about this game the webmaster is very strict...

Yeah, he should be. Although I'm willing to offer him my 100 point-towel if he provides me a hint to accomplish level 5 :P

I think he's been an english teacher in a past life!

Hmz, and he seems to have succeeded somehow in transfering his english skills to his current life... I'll have to ask him how he does that, I was an italian teacher in my previous life, but apparently lost all that knowledge at my rebirth :(

Actually, I'm french :D but my english is pretty good. And except for "pizza" and "Ferrari", I don't speak Italian at all. Is the level easier in italian?

Because with level 1-4 I could feel I was making progress while cracking them. With this level, I've been spinning my wheels for a day now and I have no idea how to solve it. I've googled everything to death, but I can't find anything.

Tell me the answer is not in an Italian novel or movie...

I read about the code break game in a blog... I don't remember which one, though, sorry.

It mentioned the game and I thought it would be interesting to try.

Has anyone passed the english level 5? (The hall of fame has no one above five for now...)

haha it's better if you post in english and don't try to translate it automatically lol it's so confused hehe :D

anyway, the level 5 has exactly the same difficulty in ita/eng and believe me, it's easier than everything you think :)

remember that the pass can be a random word or some random letters
